When server goes live will you still be limited to one account? Or will you be able to share accounts with friends?

i suppose that the most important thing is 1 character 1 player
who care if my gramma play my character in PVE and i Play in RVR ^_^

I haven't got a clue wtf that means nor do i care... When you talk about 1 character 1 player then 1 character 2 players (You and your grandma) its something entirely different.
I'll wait for GM to give me a conclusive answer tho.

You can share accounts has you want, so The staff decline all responsability.
Your account is yours. There are no limitations on how many account you can create.

There's just a double login check. If account are declared as multiaccount you can connect without problems (you have to be the same realm).

That rule confused me as well.

It works like this?

I share an account with my brother who lives in an other city.
We can both login his and mine account if both are played by one player e.g. hibernian toons, but sharing an alb + hib account is not allowed?

What about having accounts in different realms?
I think it would be great forcing everyone to stick to one realm but it might be a huge task for the GMs to not lose the overview .

yeah every player should only be able to play 1 realm!!! otherwise we will have the same problem like on uthgard... 10000 shared accounts in all 3 realms and people just follow all 6 realms .

pleaaaase create something which can stop people to have another account in another realm!

i mean there will be always ways to avoid something like this, like reset ip but i hope u will implement something to stop the xrealm before server goes live, otherwise i dont need play here, because xrealming i have enough on uthgard

ps isnt it possible to link the forumaccount with the gameaccount? and link the forum account to ip? so all connected with emailadress? i dont know anything about coding, but maybe u find a solution

Link IP adress with account can be problem for ppl using dynamic IP adress.

yeah i know and for that i asked if we cant connect it with email, as secure for those people, but i really dont know what could work

but fact is: if u dont stop this in the beginning, it will take awful dimensions.
because if you give them the possibility to xrealm, they will do.

just wanted to bump this thread, in a few days Origins will open and im gonna roll a Paci there, Uthgard will remain the main server its just for some fun... hope some people will be with us on mid!

as you can see in the serverlist there is a final date now for release of Origins, it will be thursday 16.01.2013 at 18:00 CET!

If you are unsure about your classchoice, we really wanna try 3 svg 3 healer warr sham setup, but we are a guild and not a setgroup so at the end my suggestion is to roll what u are good at. (healers should all be SMALL MALE DWARFS!!! confusion FTW (not kidding))

Make sure u used the 'Create Account' on the Origins forum cause u can't just log in and play like on Uthgard

@Niels: ER means Entity-Relationship and expresses how many things of a kind exist and in what relationship they exist.

In that case:
[Character] (1,1)-----<play>-----(1,1)[Account](1,N)--------<has>------(1,1)[Player]

1 Character is played by 1 Account,
1 Account plays 1 Player and
1 Account can have n (multiple, n is a variable) Player,
1 Player has 1 Account.

You see the naming is pretty much nonsense, you can tell him the correct version of what he means is:

[Character] (1, 1) ------ <contains> ------- (n, 1) [Account] (1, n) ---------- <played by> ---------- (n, 1) [Player]

[Account] (1, 1) ------- <own> ------- (1, 1) [Player]

I guess that 's what he want to express.
1 Character is contained in 1 Account,
1 Account can contain n Characters and
1 Account is played by n Players,
1 Player can play on n Account and
1 Account is owned by 1 Player,
1 Player owns 1 Account.
