Opinion of Origins so far

Postby Blato » Thu 23. Jan 2014, 06:18

Hey guys just wanted to make this a quick opinion post. Origins like it? hate it? not sure yet?

I'll start with Im not sure yet, but im leaning toward not liking it. Far to many bugs imo, small things. If uthgard releases old RAs it would be far better. I already slowed on origins, ill help with the guild crafters and def try the rvr but it just seems too bugged for me atm like years behind uthgard and they have so many bug reports and mechanics to deal with i dont think they can handle it.

Anyway just my opinion and curious as how to others feel about the server.

I think they are doing an amazing work so far. Bugs dont really bother me i think uthgard is buggy aswell and not livelike. Biggest problem right now is obviously the lag but it improved daily until now and i dont see why it should Not Keep improving. I will give it atleast another 2 weeks before i can really judge. And tbh, playerbase is on origins so Its not like we really have a choice

Apart of the 2 days where playing was near to impossible, i had a blast on Origins so far. I think this server has great potential to create alot of endgame RvR. And at the end this is exactly what i am looking for. Yet people are farming and equipping themselves but theres like 2k players lvling up with near the same speed and sooner or later will enter the frontiers.
I also agree with hyrule that the GMs on Origins are doing a fantastic job. I see improvements and fixes everyday, some bugs gets fixed within minutes. Wrong items can be fixed even if they are looted already which was one of my main concerns, most other bugs dont really influence the balance of the game and therefor i dont really mind them to not get fixed instantly. Additionally they have already bought new server hardware with the donation money to fix the lags and they say that in a couple days it will arrive. Im really enjoying myself and gonna log in now :D

PS: I really think noone should judge Origins by its performance or its bugs yet. Its still a 1 week old server, ive seen EA games being released with more bugs ^^

@lupold Origins gets buggy zones, and they crash and freeze and if your character was in there then that means u may not be able to log it until the server is reset thats usually the case when u are unable to log back in or it says your account is already logged in

I am having fun on origins. And they already have many things which I think uthgard never will, like working Defense Penetration. The bugs they do have that uthgard does not, well I think they'll get it sorted in less years than it took uthgard.

I will be playing Origins exclusively now that they announce wipe for uthgard. Only way i'd play uthgard again is if it was the only option.

well every start is a hard one...i dont think continue server change will be something positive^^..but i always follow mthe Rare family...the mos timportant what evfer server we are...what ever realm we play that all people are ok and happy with that...is natural that some people coudl have a different preference on realm/server...but i think its to early to judge origins...but i saw a Gm present at TG...and the other group didnt touched our mobs...immagine report cheaters like mgda how quick they coudl ve been banned...well ok lags are lags bugs are bugs...but uthgard is/was what is now after 10 years origins has only 10 days...and ofc has the potenzial as our dear Mark said ;p...will be enough RvR action even for our members from the other side of atlantic^^...something that they couldnt have on uthgard :)
