on www.guildwars2.com is a countdown, and it looks like it will end on 12:00..... not on 8:00....

The countdown time is incorrect, Anet commented on this confirming that Headstart will indeed begin at 00:00AM PST. That is MIDNIGHT -my- time, west coast USA. Should be like 9am or 8am for you guys.

It will be 8am GMT if it is 0.00am PST so 9am German time , really happy about this though. I thought they would do the normal thing of it starting at 8pm my time so miss all the saturday.

Another advantage for me personally is that is a bank holiday monday in the UK so have that off work as well \o/

The three-day Headstart Access will officially begin at 0:00 AM Pacific time (GMT -7:00) on August 25th. However, please note that in order to ensure that we’re fully prepared for that fateful hour we may bring servers online up to 3 hours prior.

No single names can be reserved. GW1 didnt have the option to use a name consisting of only 1 word. You just have to be fast on login, since there will only be 1 of every name AT ALL!
