How much is 1 Unit on the screen?

Tue 31. Jul 2012, 17:18

There are alot of spells in GW2 that have an area effect or that are ranged attacks. All those effects give us a number that represents the range/radius of those.

The only source i found which translates units into meter was on GW2 wiki in the Compass description:

"... Zoomed in, the range of the compass is 2500 units, representing 63 meters/208 feet ..."

So 2500/63 = 39,68253968253968 or simply 40 ^^

1m = 40 units.

some examples

1,200 units = 30m
900 units = 22,5m
300 units = 7,5m
130 = 3,25m

The area effect spells show circles anyway, i thought this could still be interesting to get a feeling for the numbers.
