Server switch after launch

Server switch after launch

Postby Bloodwyne » Fri 17. Aug 2012, 08:28

"At launch, players will be able to transfer between worlds freely. However, once server populations have largely settled and stabilized, world transfers will be restricted to once a week and cost a variable amount of gems based on the population of the world being transferred to."

Alright so if FS will be unplayable, we should have an emergency Plan, as it will be for free to change servers at launch.

That is nice to have the option :)

I guess need to look to see what other servers would be worth considering if ours turns out unplayable.

The question is also, will the game have a good retention of players or will it tail of like most MMOs do, though of course as it is FTP it may not have that issue.

I don't mind having queues to log in as long as it isn't mega long but what will be frustrating is if have to queue up for long periods to PVP every night.

In a perfect world all the open world WvW roaming guilds would roll on low population servers. This would allow them to be paired against each other's servers (because population will ultimatley be the largest determening factor for server rank) more often and allow for a flourishing open world PvP meta game.

But that won't be happening (:
