2H guardian hammer is basically must have on an assist train. The ability to lock multiple enemies in a circle that they can't leave and that leaves them open to all being hit with the AOE from melee. That is absolutely must have on the assist train imo. 5 seconds and the only way out right now that I found is a teleport. Hundred Blades + Whirling Wrath inside of that ring could kill 3+ players instantly. And if you Mighty Blow after the Ring, every ally around it gets retaliation.

And the #4 Launch skill is so good at stopping people from rezzing up.


The only thing I really miss is Stand your Ground, AoE 1200 range Stability/Retaliation is just so good, but you have to drop a heal for it, so I dunno about that one...

i think in this spec it is for sPvP and a bit for rvr
anyway this layout if for purely supporting teammates and debuffing enemies.

4x wells (those groundtarget fields )
1x healing over time for all
1x buff->debuff against enemies
1x debuff->buff for mates OR a well that blinds enemies
1x weakness apply on enemies

traits for faster well recharge, wells are placable like groundtargets, apply protection when placed
rest is weapons for bleeding same as traits that increase bleeding damage/duration of boons

This is a new build reflecting those changes. 'Stand Your ground' can replace the Spirit Weapon but then you must retrait for reduced 'shout' cooldown and drop the spirit weapon trait for something else, probably retaltion lasts 25% (just got nerfed its not 50% anymore) longer to go with SYG.

This build has 50K HPs through healing, and can replace over 25K HPs every 30 seconds.

Also figured its worth mentioning that I put the spirit weapon in there because Guardian Spirit Weapons are not killable. They have no counter. The Greatsword Spirit does good damage and the Hammer does a knockdown on command, but if you want to spam the knockdown you have to trait for it, or it desummons the hammer on use. The sword has an AE attack on command.

Retaliation build. Has retaliation up 100% of the time, and really high armor/HPs.

Retaliation/Spirit Hammer build. Can keep Retaliation up 100% of the time with combos, and spam traited knockdown spirit hammer. This is a likely smallman build but may work anywhere. Very cheese.

i was very suprised that my build worked really good
some good buffs for friends with those wells, nice damage and debuffing

all other necro's had the same build like on my BWE3 but it sucked against mine


yesterday we encounter often a really nasty build of guardians...
all of them were pain in the ass to kill them fast, but some had those violette shield up to revive their comrades nearly instant... i think for sPVP it is necessary to build sth like this.

the (only höhö) match we lost yesterday was very nasty... they couldnt kill me fast, but they knocked me from beginning to end thousand times down.^^

and it seems that thiefes do also ugly melee damage^^

That spirit hammer is really annoying, i was getting almost continuous knockbacks. Its kinda op imo. Also their tome ability to heal themselves full, it seems that we cant interrupt that dunno.

And yeah thieves do really nasty damage with all those venoms and stuff. If i see a thief jumping towards me, i just vanish .

Yesterday i was hit by a thief in 2-3 seconds for 4k + 2k + 2k+ 2,5k + 4k in Melee

in spvp i have a lot of fun with 1h sword+shield and the mediation skills, think this is very strong.

but in wvwvw i think i have to do more supporting with the guardian

staff is a nice support weapon, with symbol of swiftness, line of warding and empower.
will use consecration for wall of reflection, nice against range attacks and i have 4 light combo and 1 fire combo field, all with a range ground target, so i can easy support my group for mighty combos

and i have a trait for a shield of absorption if i am starting to reviving an ally, thats nice too

don't have choose any armor, because i don't know if i can get it in wvwvw, but we will see

btw, i am not shure about the eliteskill, have to test it how it works, but it looks nice
