1. Make a copy of your DAoC folder. For example Copy the whole "Electronic Arts" folder and put it right next to where it was.
2. Visit http://daoc-origins.net/
-> create a forum account
-> after you created a forum account there are 4 big buttons at the top of the forum. Click on "Create an Account" (dunno if it really says "Create an Account" cause i use the german version)
-> Choose your ACC name PW, Realm etc.
-> open DAoC Portal -> File -> Settings -> Choose #2 and change the folder to your DAoC Copy's game.dll ->
DONT CLICK PATCH -> Just close and then click "Client" and you can choose #1 for Uthgard and #2 for Origins.
IF this doesnt work yet, you have to downpatch the client of your DAoC Copy. For this you have to download the Origins Launcher from their Homepage (see above) -> Install it -> Start it -> ignore the warning message -> just choose the folder of your DAoC Copy's game.dll and click play. The launcher will downgrade your client automatically and then you can deinstall the Origins launcher and login via DAoC Portal.
